Doch diese scheinbar sehr gewöhnlichen Paare haben sehr ungewöhnliche Fantasien, deren Verwirklichung sie so sehr beschäftigt, dass sie gar nicht den bedrohlichen Neuzugang in ihrer Nachbarschaft bemerken…

Im Rahmen einer Blogger-Aktion hatten wir die Möglichkeit zwei Fragen an Regisseur Josh Lawson zu stellen, der ebenfalls eine der Hauptrollen im Film bekleidet.
myofbDE: You noticed that you did not have any particular character in mind for yourself when you wrote the film. Why did you decide to play Paul?
Josh Lawson: Actually I slid into that role quite late. I never intended to play anyone in the film. But we were struggling to find an actor for the role and we were running out of time. So I filled that role because I knew what the tone needed to be and because Bojana and I had known each other for a long time and I knew that we could bring that relationship to life.
myofbDE: Why did you choose such a piquant subject for your directorial debut? Do you think that after movies like 50 Shades of Grey and The Little Death sex in the cinema is losing its polarizing effect?
Josh Lawson: I hope it is. I find it interesting that violence seems to be so ubiquitous in film and tv and no one flinches at that, but sex still makes a lot of people uncomfortable. But yes, I think that sex is becoming a much less shocking subject for people and that is allowing for some bold and original new content.
